I started the book and thought I would be overwhelmed by the number of characters. This was not the case. The author brought life to each character with descriptions and insight that made me feel that I "knew" them and allowed me to be able to relate to them and feel I was close to the story.I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book and, most definitely, will schedule to read it again.
Can't wait for her next book.

The characters in the story are so developed, they draw the reader deep into the story. It is a very good lesson for one and all on how to relate to people.
I thought it was a book for young women .not .us guys like it too. loved the part where Mitch goes to Callies on Christmas night unexpectedly .very inspirational for all!
This story is well written and contains realistic, believable characters who overcome obstacles despite often overwhelming odds. It shows how important relationships are for character building, is entertaining and inspiring. I look forward to more novels from this author.
This is a story for anyone who has ever struggled with life, relationships, family - I was drawn into Tere's messy life from the start with hope for a happy ending. It's a great read with a lot of wisdom to share. I can't wait for more from this author - I'll be watching for it!
Okay, in the spirit of full disclosure, the author is my dearly loved mom - but this is a lovely book. It is a reflection of my mother's indomitable spirit and describes a life where faith and love and some well met big hearted people can change a life of adversity into a life of joy. But it isn't all smooth sailing.... And for those of you who have read and enjoyed it - the sequel is near done! I can't wait for my sneak peek!
This book is very-well written. It will be a wonderful gift, birthday or Christmas gift for any young lady or young man. Very entertaining. It's an "easy read" and provides some good values to live by for young folks as well as older people. Wow, Carlene Stanfield-Wold is a great writer and I look forward to more of her wonderful work! Her writing skills indicate that she can be a
super writer in several areas such as "thrillers", "love stories", "murder mysteries", and probably even in interesting non-fiction "real-world" stories.
I was pleasantly surprised with this book...I loved the story. Even though the first couple of chapters are rather grim, they set up the character of Tere and her home situation. The journey she takes to change from a caterpillar to a butterfly is heartwarming.Hope that Carlene Stanfield-Wold writes a sequel. This was a great read.
